Dhul-Hijjah #2 Al-Hadith: The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said -There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days- meaning (the first) ten days (of Dhul-Hijjah). (Ibn-e-Majah 1727 Sahih) Also found in (Tirmidhi 757 Sahih) and (Bukhari 969). These ten days are even more special than Ramadan (except the last ten nights because of Laila-tul-Qadr). Sadly we have no idea about their significance.
