Did everyone catch the deception.... The police tried to justify the shooting by claims that he lunged at the officers. When it was made clear that he could not lunge at someone that was halfway down the driveway the Chief comes up with this Herky Jerky movement crap. Give me a break, is it at all acceptable that a police should be able to shoot an unarmed man in his own yard with no provocation or visible threat. So you are telling me that someone can be shot for simply moving. This makes me sick because we know better. And yes, I know what its like to be in dangerous situations. I spent most of my days in Iraq with Iraqis who were armed to the teeth; however, I could not just shoot someone just because the moved. And yes some of them were very confrontational and looked at you like they would blow your brains out if given the opportunity. So the fear they use to justify shooting unarmed people does not really fly with me. Thats part of the job, if you cant deal with your fears without killing people who pose no real threat then you should not be in the profession.
