Did we all get our $35b worth? GM, facing bankruptcy got a $35b bailout (yes, they have paid all/most of it back) so that they could just get the game changing cars into the market place - and they also got a one time walk away from the pension funding that was sinking them. Now, today in Congressional testimony theyre making excuses for the faulty cars that theyve been making for the last 4 years - and already saying things like ...well, technically that was the old GM, so technically, we dont HAVE to honor the issues, but were being good guys... Anyone who really feels that the government has a compelling reason to step in and save major industrial players for the sake of jobs - I hope youre enjoying your quality GM product. Yeah. Built in America. Yall want that in the head or ass?
