Did you know? ... that is Giants Causeway or The Passage of giants, an area of 40,000 connected basalt pillars which are incurred by volcanic eruptions in the Paleogene (50-60 million years ago), nestled on the northeast coast of Northern Ireland. Basaltic pillars form a stair cliff that plunges into the Irish Sea. Most of the pillars are hexagonal (of six a side), although there are pillars with a small number of pages. Some parts were given popular names as what are: Giant boot, Giant eye, Herdsman pillars, Honeycomb, Giant gate and the Camels Hump. In the Middle Ages is created the legend how is Giants Causeway or The Passage of giants built by Irish warrior Finn McCool, how be he fight against their Scottish rivals, Benandonner.
