Diet review for today: FASTING. As we all know, fasting is the act of refraining from some or all sources of water and food and in some occasions both. The glucose which is stored in the muscles and the glycogen stores in the liver are exhausted in less that 8-10 hours due to lack of nutrients .The human body is not composed of enzymes which that can convert fat to glucose. Most of the organs in the body can use fat as fuel, but the nervous system can only use glucose for energy. Therefore, to accommodate tour brain’s need for glucose, the body must turn protein into glucose, thus affecting what proteins are used for in the body. Now I am not just talking about loosing muscles. As we should know, this process affects the protein in your muscles along with, blood proteins, the liver, the digestive tract lining, heat muscles, and lung tissues. So if you think fasting is a good choice to loose weigh, you are only reducing lean muscle tissue and depriving your body from building enzymes, red blood cells, white blood cells, and several vital components. Fasting of any sort will always slow down your metabolism, making it harder to loose weight and faster to gain weight once you commence regular eating habits. SOLUTION =EAT YOUR CARBS/EAT YOUR PROTIENS!
