Difficulties with elections : Actually , in many countries , especially in the third world countries the rule of law is very weak . So this is the most important reason why elections do not meet international standards which are free and fair . Also , in those countries , Dictators may use the powers of the executive to remain in power . I think that all of us see what happens in Egypt , Syria , and Iraq every day , and all this because Dictators .
