Dilemma - My 685KLR burns oil, and its just getting worse. Yesterday I rode about 600km and had to add 0.5L of oil. I am currently in Argentina, headed for Ushuaia and estimating that I will be travelling for another 7000km before I sell her or drive her off a cliff. Option1: Keep buying oil and topping up. Cheap and as long as it does not get much worse.. Option2: Order a new piston? Do the valves etc.. Price? Get a new 685kit? Or change the Sylinder lining? or go for 705? Facts: KLR685 - Eaglemike piston 40000miles 2008. Is there anyone that know of anyone that knows of anyone that is flying from USA to either Argentina or Chile within the next few weeks if I opt for option 2?
