**Directors, writers, producers...** At CollegeHumor, we pride ourselves on the professionalism of our videos. But we’re also interested in taking risks and working with a diverse group of people. That’s why we’ve set up The CollegeHumor Grants Program, which provides money to comedians and filmmakers to turn their funny, unique ideas into funny, unique videos. The idea is simple: you can apply for a grant by filling out our application HERE. If your idea is selected, we’ll give you $1000 to produce it. You write, shoot and edit the video. Then, we post that video to CollegeHumor (giving the creators full credit), as well as a new YouTube page. How do I apply? You can fill out a grant application https://docs.google/forms/d/1D6Qa3BaSD2KmMs_rf1TZRXm7h9_SmsBn8p6W5SGlKHA/viewform. How much money is it again? $1,000 before taxes. Do I need to submit a script? Nope, just an idea. How long should my video be? We like videos that are on the shorter side – usually three minutes or less. How long do I have to make the video? Two months. Can I submit more than one idea? Yes, but please wait two to three weeks between submissions. Can I work with my friends on a video? Absolutely. Who you work with is up to you. We just cant split grants, so youll have to divvy it up yourself. I have an idea that wouldnt require any shooting (e.g. an animation, etc.). Is that acceptable? Yes. Will CollegeHumor provide production resources? No. Our hope is that the Grants Program will allow us to collaborate with comedians and filmmakers, promote new and exciting talent, and bring more online comedy to life.
