Dis is mine story ob mine life-- well, widdle bit ob it: Emily Rose was born at a puppy mill on May 17, 1998. For 2 1/2 years she lived on wire bottomed cage with no love, barely enough food, and a man that showed no compassion to his dogs. On November 16, 2000, the Police raided the puppy compound and took 66 dogs. Emily Rose did not know it, but her life was going to change forever! The sound of my shoes approaching her at the shelter that day caused her to cower and shake and that, coupled with the heartbreaking howls of fear not only broke my heart, but let me know that this little girl is going home with me and going to have the most amazing life until her last breath. Her littermate crouched in the corner with her and they tried to make themselves seem so small and unnoticed, while their reverberating cries echoed in the almost empty room. Seeing the bond between these two made me know in my heart that there was room for one more.....there was never a second of doubt. Emily Rose and Adrianne took months to adapt and the thrill of my life was when 4 patient months later, Emily Rose walked over to me and let me pat her while I sat on the floor, like I did everynight....just waiting. Emily Rose has since then had the most amazing life, with only the heartbreak of losing Adrianne on December 5, 2005 and Rocky on November 1, 2012. Since then, we have been inseparable up to this very moment. Emily Rose is my shining star, my heart love and I am so thankful that I have had the privilege to be her momma. Until her last breath she will be by my side in all things, everyday, everynight, every breath. My beautiful Emily Rose.
