Disclaimer: THIS IS NOT FOR YOU, If you think the primary function of Facebook is sharing Cat photos or playing Farmville and NOT utilizing the pool of human insight potential in your friend list. That being said, here is my spiel. I have been sucking atmospheric oxygen since 1983. Over the course of three decades, I have become more and more me, at times, aided by others, at other times hindered by others. I have been rocking the single (as in not in a relationship and not serial-dating for the sake of it) life for about 6 months. During this time, my innate Joshness has come out of hibernation, and it feels great. I am enjoying my career, experimenting with new culinary creations, tinkering with some inventions, writing a graphic novel, reading books I shouldve read long ago, listening to a wider range of music, and even started drawing again. I like being me, I like doing my thing, I like creating, and tapping my own mental resources and discovering what hidden gems I have tucked away in my head. My advice for some beloved friends on Facebook, in particular, unmarried and/or single people, is be careful not to let cynicism get the better of you. If you are single and unhappy, than its a good thing you are single. Life is short, we have a limited amount of time on this blue marble and we only get one shot at this! Make something of YOURSELF, and dont worry that you are not a we. Friends, dont post dirt on exes or statuses like Men suck or Hoes be crazy. I admit, at times, those can be valid claims, but keep in mind, a potential Mr./Ms. Right could be reading your insights. Dont defame your exes and air dirty laundry. Be thankful for past relationships for the purpose they serve in all of our lives, which is experience. Be thankful for what you have and what others have, and not indignant about either. Lastly, let your imaginations run wild! Dont be afraid to let your eight pounds of grey matter get a little silly. I believe as humans, we are meant to express ourselves though all manner of art, it is our duty in fact. The Bible even says, Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Lets make some Joyful noise, movement, images, tastes, words, or any means you deem fit for expression. But please, be Joyful! Ps. Future Mrs. Harrah, if you out there and you read this tonight, I love you and I promise to always be Josh.
