☆Discover the Philippines☆ BAHAY KUBO The Bahay Kubo, Balay, or Nipa Hut, is a type of stilt house indigenous to most of the lowland cultures of the Philippines. It often serves as an icon of broader Filipino culture, or, more specifically, Filipino rural culture. The Bahay Kubo or Nipa Hut is the National House of the Philippines. You can commonly see them in most of the province in the Philippines. It is a three-layered structure that is entirely made out of bamboo rods, thats why it is very refreshing inside because of the wind passing through the walls and floor. It has a Silong, an area between the raised floor of the house and the ground. It also serves as a shelter and a buffer area for rising waters during floods and also to prevent pest from getting up to the living area. The roof is steeply pitched and topped with long leaves that allows water to flow down quickly at the height of the monsoon season. Bahay Kubo is one of the legacy that our ancestors left us and until now is being used as a means of shelter commonly in remote areas. ------------------------------------------- GCASH REMIT Remittance to the Philippines. https://gcash.jp/?id=fb140529
