Discovering Your Purpose - the way forward. There are so many things to do for God in your place of work. They might not be your calling, or where to fulfill your purpose, but for the main time, you need to occupy till He comes to your door step. It is in your commitment toward the things of God wherever you found yourself, even when you havent discover your purpose for life, that God reveal His true purpose for your life to you. Like I said earlier, I never prayed for the discovering of my purpose due to ignorance, but when the Holy Spirit became my prayer partner, he led me into praying for my true purpose in Christ. How did I know? Just few days back, God began dealing with me more closely, and one of the things He did was interpreting some of the tongues I spoke out to Him during the early days I was filled with His Spirit. Little wonder in my place of work, each time Im relaxing with my bible or praying, there is this urge that usually comes up in me to write articles. It was so strong in me that sometimes I will pick up a piece of book and pen to write something, but there was nothing to write - no inspiration. I started evangelising and helping the poor in my own little way. This was what the Holy Spirit led me to do. What Im I trying to say? The Holy Spirit leads you by ordering your step and also by praying with you on issues you would hardly pray for. He does so many things that you could never ever do by yourself in this life. So if you must discover your true purpose, whether you believe on the Holy Spirit and His gifts or not, you need Him not just to discover your purpose, but also for effective fulfilling of that purpose. It is a must for every Christian who wants to fulfill their purpose - full stop! Yes, you dont have this gift yet - I know, but it is not a license for you to be silent when you ought to be discussing Christ with friends. It is not a license to be jumping from one guys trouser to another, one ladys skirt to another. It is not a license for you not to study and meditate on the word of God nor pray.... That period of waiting for the Holy Spirit and the discovery of your purpose is a LICENSE for you to pour out your heart unto God, strongly and genuinely seeking for this great baptism of the Holy Ghost that will transform your life if you make use of it effectively as He comes upon you. It is also a license my dear friends, brothers and sister, to pray abnormally unto God, asking Him the following out of a genuine heart. Lord, why did you create me? Why did you expose me to this earth? Where do you want to apply my life? What are you applying my life for? What is the focus that you are setting for me? Why was i born again? What is your plan for capturing me? Where do you intend to use me? What platform, what focus should I pursue today? These are deep questions, please do not take them likely. For those who think they have discovered their purpose, please dont conclude and limit yourself. I almost made that mistake, I limited myself to online outreach, but God is opening my eyes the more. Ask Him, Lord, where Im I now? Im I located at the center of my focus? Im I at my focal point? Im I at the place of my maximum outreach? You dont need to keep a job that has nothing to do with your purpose if God is asking you to quit it.
