Disney update 5 day 4.....we have hit the halfway point of this odessy that began last thursday night. Today was a good day pretty light in comparison to the first 3 days. Todays mission was to return to Hollywood Studios to catch all the shows that we could..we got in the Backlot Tour , Beauty and the Beast, Lights Motor Action , the Tower of Terror one more time and Fantasmic. I dont know what the hell is so great about the toy story ride and I may never know the wait is 80 minutes as soon as the park opens the gates , do these people stay in line marking their spot for the next day like we do for Mardi Gras parade spots. We missed Indiana Jones by like 3 minutes but as luck would have it we were able to score prime seating for beauty and the beast because of that mishap. We will return here briefly Friday to catch toy story and indiana jones and to eat dinner at the primetime 50s cafe that will finish off this park. As usual though we did have a few adventures today. Let me start by saying that my wife Jerri Blouin is the planner of the family she thinks of everything and is very good at . I on the other hand am more spontaneous I prefet to wing it so to speak and it drives her crazy. Well I planned this entire thing 100 percent by myself so you guys can just about imagine how this is going to play out. It started yesterday with my genius self scheduling a return trip to magic kingdom to close with not enough recovery time in between. So nom in my zone we are winging it big time and im sure jerri is going nuts inside but not saying anything just smirking at every hiccup. Now the whole schedule is out if whack. We ate at hollywood and vine yesterday and I had reserved a table there for today previously so I went to the desk this morning and cancelled it and they squeezed me in at a resort for a late dinner tonight. I ask no questions give it to me 8:50pm perfect catch fantasmic and the park closes at 7 plenty time to make it to our dinner no problem. Well at the end of fantasmic it starts raining everyone in the park instantly heads for the busses. Well I am supposed to take the water taxi from hollywood studios to the beach resort for our dinner but now the damn park us closed so if I do that after we eat I will have to take a bus from there to downtown disney then catch another bus from there to our hotel. So I decided lets hop the bus to our resort and we will drive to dinner. Well holy mother had to wait for 3 freaking busses before we finally fit on one got to our resort at 8:55 didnt get to dinner until 9:10pm luckily they were very understanding and accommodated us well. Snow crabs steak buffet ...nice I had no Idea that I could pick such great dining options on the fly like that. Dinner was great and we are back at our resort now . Todays revelation though is that the disney shuttle bus is the single best thrill ride in all of disney if you get the right driver. There used to be a captain of the ferry boat Jack Stumpf that ran from algiers to chalmette he used to hit the bottle while on shift and he hit the dock once so hard that he damaged it so badly the ferry was closed for months they fired that guy. Well I think disney hired him and he drove us home tonight...22 minutes of hairpin turns rapid acceleration and unexpected stops. All with yo ho yo ho its a pirates life for me playing in the background. Fitting though because everyone needed their sea legs tonight. I always stand on the bus ut cranks up the thrill factor that much more. I usually board the bus sit with my family and wait for an elderly or someone carrying a child to board and be left without a seat and I give them mine. I only sit to begin with because these dumb ass teenage boys sit on the bus and watch the old lady or young parent struggle to keep their balance and never offer them a seat it really bothers me.Got on the bus this morning a family of 4 hops on after us so I get up offer the lady and her small daughter my seat. Im standing next to the father and his young son . The little boy turns to see his mom and sister sitting in my seat and he says hey dad how come they get to sit again. I leaned over and told the young man that thats what happens when you are a lady...the father attempts to reinforce the lesson asking his son if he has ever heard the phrase women and children first....the boy responds by explaining to his father yes he has heard that before but that he is a children too....I couldnt stop laughing because the kid had a very valid point but it gain any traction with his father who instantly informed him that he was a young man and that he would act accordingly with respect. I only hope that more fathers will teach their sons proper manners. Tomorrows adventure is Animal kingdom and im sure its only a mattet of time before Jerri takes the reigns of this ship to stop the madness......lol good night from disney stay tuned for next UPDATE live from animal kingdom tomorrow we should fit right in
