Disrespect of Quran and Firing on civilians in Ramban 06 killed, 60 injured in BSF firing in Ramban Complete shutdown in Doda/Bhaderwah/Kishtwar/Gandoh Doda, July 18: Following the desecration of Holy Quran by the 76 Battalion of BSF at Madrassa Daram Gool in Ramban District, the incident of Ramban fire also sparks in Doda and Bhaderwah area of the District Doda. Earlier in the morning after the news of Ramban spreads, the Doda bandh call was given from Jamia Masjid Doda and after that more than thousands of muslims gathered at Jamia Masjid Doda from where they start protest demonstration against the BSF for disrespecting the Holy Book Quran. Amid tight security deployment, the protestors marched through the marktets of the Town and shouted Pro Azadi and Anti BSF slogans, demanding immediate action against all those BSF Jawan who were involved behind this barbaric act of BSF. In all major town of Chenab region including Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Thathri, Gandoh and other parts of Doda and Kishtwar District the people in large held a strong protest against the barbaric act by 76 Bn of BSF at Ramban. During this occasion, all the shops and other business establishments remained closed in all the major townships of of Chenab region. There was poor traffic plying on the road of the towns as well as link road. Bandh calls were given at different places by separatist leaders from local mosques following which people from all walks of life gathered at specified places and took out demostrations. Protesting people raised Pro Azadi,Islamic slogans and Anti Paramilitary Forces. Following bandh calls huge deployment of security system was strengthend across the Chenab region with heavy deployment of police and para military personnel with complete cambate positions in all the sensative parts of the region . At Doda, Bhadarwah, Banihal, Thathri, Gandoh, Kishtwar towns, people held demonstrations and raised slogans against the Indian government. Speakers condemned the barbaric act and dicretion of Holy Quran. The Bandh passed off peacefully with no untoward incident from any part of the region. It is important to mention here that around 06 civilians have been killed by BSF while around 60 were injured in Ramban.
