The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based best practices, and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing Health, agriculture and Community Development projects in several provinces of the country. One of the donors is United Nation Higher Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), with which ORCD has IDP project in Logar, Ghazni and Maidan Wardak Provinces. This post is responsible to monitor IDPs in each province district level currently being implemented by ORCD. Job Description · Travel to villages and IDPs settlement within the respective target districts which are not accessible by Provincial Field Monitors (PFM) and Provincial Manager (PM). The District Field Monitor (DFM) will provide reports about the displaced population to Provincial Field Monitor and Provincial Manager · Participate in meetings with Community Development Councils (CDCs), elders, and other community level forums which are not feasible to be attended by Provincial Field Monitor. Drawing the assistance of host communities, issues related to IDPs and provision of assistance to them will be discussed in these meetings · Oversee the district level network that has been established for early warning system and oversee the network is functional and working at district level. · Direct coordination and communication with other members of the early warning system who are living in different villages of each district. · Hold monthly meetings with the members of the early warning system network at district level on monthly basis, receive report from the members and provide feedback accordingly. · Identify and assess the needs and concerns of IDP families and share their needs and concerns with the relevant Provincial Field Monitor and Provincial Manager · Conduct household visits to individual IDP families based on needs and vulnerability · Visit IDP settlements where UNHCR-funded activities are conducted, and report on the humanitarian assistance projects and activities at district level · Discuss with beneficiaries of UNHCR assistance and report to Provincial Field Monitor and Provincial Manager on any impact and results achieved at district level · Maintain good relations with with other stakeholders (CDCs, ANDMA district focal points, District Health Officer, etc.) at District level Job Requirements Completed at least 9th class.
