Dmytro Tychuk: “In continuation of the topic of TV broadcasts in Donbas InfoResist group has received the following explanation from the leadership of RRT Concern regarding why 6 TV towers (TV-Radio Broadcasting Centres) in Donetsk and Luhansk oblast, which are under terrorist control, continue working and broadcasting Russian TV channels. According to RRT leadership, three factors have to be taken into account. 1. The leadership of RRT, according to the statements of its representatives, has addressed electricity providing organisation (oblast energy) in Donbas with the petition to cut off electricity to these object. However, as the representatives of the given organisation are under pressure of the mercenaries, this petition was not carried out. 2. Together with the Russian TV channels, Ukrainian TV channels continue working. According to the leadership of the RRT, at the moment, 8 Ukrainian and 8 Russian TV channels are being broadcast in Donetsk oblast; 9 Ukrainian and 2 Russian TV channels – in Luhansk oblast. 3. The RRT claims that they have informed the energy supplying organisations in Donbas regarding the fact that they would only pay for the supply for the broadcast of Ukrainian TV channel (here the mechanism of the calculation is slightly vague, but we are only providing the explanation). The RRT assures that none of the Concern workers is collaborating with the terrorists and have sold out to the enemy. This is the position of the other side. We continue the investigation and await the response of special service. In any case, the situation has to be solved immediately, as by losing the information war in Donbas we cannot speak of a swift victory – this is absolutely obvious. And it is unacceptable that TV communication objects of Ukraine have become the broadcaster of anti-Ukrainian insane propaganda and lies of Putin.
