Do not ask people to stop sinning before they can come to Christ and be saved when evangelizing: if they could stop sinning, they wouldnt need your salvation message and you wouldnt even be the one to tell them to stop sinning! No one is ever saved in their repentant state: we were all saved in our sinful state: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8) EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN SINS, hath quickened us together with Christ (by grace ye are saved) (Ephesians 2:5) The words of the master should mean much more to us: COME UNTO ME, ALL YE THAT LABOUR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST (Matthew 11:28) sin is the yoke that burdens humanity and the rod of oppression that oppresses man: but Christ came to break that yoke, end that oppression and bring relief and peace to mankind, and it is only in Him that we find rest! For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden... (Isaiah 9:4) Ask then to come to the Jesus who can give them rest from the burden of the sinful nature: ask them to come unto life~ present to them the good news of the kingdom- the gospel! together we shall bring back our brothers and sisters who are lost~ we uphold the power of the ministry of reconciliation!
