Do we have anyone that could foster this little man please? Toby is a loving dog once he gets to know you. He likes to think he is in charge so will need a carer/owner to be in charge and not let him get away with things. For example if he is laying on the sofa and you sit down near him, he will grumble if let him get away with it he then thinks the sofa is his and his alone. He needs a dog savvy owner/carer. Someone who can take the lead and not be a push over. He is 100% housetrained. He was food aggressive but this has been worked on and now subsided. He does have alopecia and the hair is slowly growing back with the aid of olive oil rubbed on his bare parts. He is vocal when he is out and meets new people but this is more of a fear thing rather than aggression. When new people enter the house they need to be introduced calmly and quietly, after this he is fine. When he first came into our care he was scared of men, this has been worked on and he is fine with men now. He should be an only dog. This is because he will dominate other dogs in the house and will fight for attention. he is ok when he meets dogs outside walking but living with another is not advisable. Toby is a loving boy, he likes cuddles and like to play with his toys and he loves hi chewie sticks. Initially you could not touch him whilst he was chewing a treat, but with work he now knows that he will not lose the treat and will now just grumble. He will chase furries and cats. To be honest he is just a normal little lad that has been misunderstood and abused in the past.
