Theres been discussion on our page and a few other pages about Central High Schools Prom. We are happy to clarify any confusion regarding Grand Forks Centrals event. The prom will remain at Alerus Center in the same ballroom as originally scheduled. Heres the details: CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL PROM COORDINATION CONTINUES AS PLANNED FOR APRIL 26 Grand Forks, ND – Coordination and planning for the Central High School Prom at Alerus Center on April 26 continue as scheduled in the facility’s North Ballroom. On Monday, Alerus Center staff met with a Grand Forks Central High School representative to make them aware of other events scheduled in the facility in addition to the prom on April 26th. In an effort to be proactive, Alerus Center offered Central High School no-cost alternatives to consider that would provide them a different setting for their event. The GFC representative indicated they would contact Alerus Center on Tuesday regarding their decision after discussing it. The GFC representative took those alternatives back to the High School Administration and Prom Committee on Monday evening. During that meeting, it was decided they would opt to keep the prom in the North Ballroom. Tuesday morning representatives from Central High School informed Alerus Center of their decision and coordination of the event continues without interruption. Alerus Center strives to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for all guests. Facility staff saw the potential to add to the Central High School Prom environment and presented available options if they chose to utilize them. Ultimately, they decided to stay with their original plan and we are pleased they are confident we can deliver them the quality prom they deserve. # # #
