Do you cook? Have you ever noticed that in order to help cook your food faster or make it easier for you to handle your food, the instructions or chef you are watching may ask you to chop, dice, cube..etc.. certain parts of your dish? For instance lets take a whole stalk of celery; Its practically impossible to break and would take a heck of a long time to cook when its foundation is still holding it together as a whole, so we tend to break its ribs, chop it up and then cook it, because now we have broken pieces (Particularly the tough outer layers) off the very foundation it was standing on so now it is easier for us to do what we want with it, its easier for us to break the rest and then throw away the bottom (the foundation) ... you see the point Im getting at is the enemy does the exact thing. Dont think so? Here let me explain Have you ever noticed when you start to get firm in the word of God as well as start to build the foundation of your faith that all though everything is working perfectly, that something always seems to be going wrong at the exact same time? Sometimes its a small matter of someone went and told so and so something that you was suppose to have said and now you are bickering and arguing, or maybe someone really close to you died, or maybe someone really close to you hurt you and now youre harboring unforgiveness... whatever it may be, the enemy will try to break bits and pieces off of you so he may break you down and eventually get what he wants or wanted out of you. We all know that we arent a stalk of celery because technically a stalk of celery cant really defend its self from eventually being eaten (lol), but we are like the stalk of celery. We are strong, we are firm, we can be hurt sometimes and yes sometimes people will try to break through your outer walls to hurt you and weaken you in order to get to the center of your foundation to try and break you from it! But see the difference is we are children of God and God gave us His word, Hes our Father and just like any loving father, Hes never to busy to listen. The difference is we as people have the God given ability to do something and change, we have the ability to accept or reject people, things, and situations in our lives. Dont allow Negativity (Worry, Unforgiveness, Arguing, etc..) to cause you to do things even your conscience and inner spirit knows is wrong. Dont allow negativity to turn you into a stalk of celery left to be consumed by your enemy. The word is strong and powerful Use it! Keep using it! Dont allow negativity to break you away from your foundation! It doesnt matter where you are in your life or who you are with, it doesnt matter about things you have done in your past or still doing in your present; the important thing is you get into the word and stabilize your FUTURE.
