Dear all friends, Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon which is a traditional festival for Vietnamese children. However, this is just a joyous occasion for well off citizens, not for poor people whom are fighting everyday to survive. Lanterns, sweets, cakes, even rice… seems like a dream that they will never reach. After a survey trip, Ea Hiu village (Daklak province) has been established the poorest village in Vietnam. The area is in mountainous region where the land is not suitable for farming. Their daily meals consist of roots, leaves, or salt with some donated rice. Children here are malnourished and have a very low level of education. Our volunteer group Blue Fire, are former students of Van Lang University, we have been active with charitable works for more than three years. This time we would like to call upon everybody to help the children, women and men of Ea Hiu village have an unforgettable Mid-Autumn festival. We are collecting all donations from you (money or rice, sweets, mid-autumn cakes, milk, noodle, lanterns, old clothes, notebooks, pens, pencils ). We are planning a trip to transfer all donations by bus to Ea Hiu village. Schedule as below: Departing: Sep14-15th, 2013 Place: Phước Huệ pagoda, Ea Hiu – Krongpak – Daklak Offer: 500 gifts for children and 200 gifts for poor families.
