Do you ever get any leftover fruit - either the day before shopping and its looking a little sad .. Morning tea wasnt finished by the kids?.. Or they want an apple, take two bites and then realise they dont want it anymore :/ I cut all of ours up - (skin off apples , oranges, bananas etc) leftover dried fruit that cant be out back too.. And put it all in freezer bags (our haul is big enough to justify a plastic tub :/) Then when it comes to smoothies, ice cream or sorbet I have it all ready to go and Im not using fresh produce that could otherwise be eaten! (And it makes your smoothies cold & thicker) Recipe for sorbet below x
