Do you have EE bonds and want to know, what the heck are they good for? Aha, look no further, here is how (and when) they can or should be redeemed. They pay a paltry .2% interest right now. Do you know they are GUARANTEED to double in value in twenty years? So, it remains a safe and secure way to park some money. Dont forget those I bonds, either. Not sure that they represent a great deal right now, since the fixed interest rate at which they are issues is 0% (they carry an inflation protection variable rate on top of that).
