Do you know what it means for a Jew to walk on a Samarian street?, It is forbidden by the religious leaders of Jesus day. Do you know what it means for a Jew to talk to a Samaritan talk less of getting a drink from one?, It is tabood by the then fathers of the faith. Do you know what it means for Jesus to tell the Samaritan woman that a time is coming when no one would worship either in Mount Zion, Jerusalem, or Mount Gerazim of the Samarians?, It is blasphemy punishable by death. Do you know that without the Temple in Jerusalem, the Levites can not officiate as priests?, It is the end of Moses, and the spiritual authorities wont have it. Do you know what it means for the Apostles to baptise a Samaritan with the same baptism as a Jew?, It is unacceptable by racial members of the faith. Do you know what it means for Jesus to tell a Jew that a priest and a Levite are not his neighbour, but a merciful Samarian is?, It is unacceptable to the traditional members of the faith. Do you know what it means for the modern day churches to then again divide the Christian brethrenhood along these racial/tribal, economical, religious hierarchical, and denominational lines that Jesus abolished? It is called REBELLION. Jesus did say that His sheep would not answer to a stranger, but do you know that the stranger could be your Bishop, Pastor etc?
