Do you love the bluebell show here at St. Francois in the spring? - TopicsExpress

Do you love the bluebell show here at St. Francois in the spring? Unfortunately, the bluebells are in trouble. The invasive garlic mustard, native to Europe, has found its way here. This is a nasty plant that produces thousands of seeds per plant, and even makes chemicals that keep other plants from growing. If we are going to Save the Bluebells, we need your help! Last year, a small group of visitors and scouts pulled over 500 pounds of garlic mustard! (see the photos for the before and after!). This year we are challenging you to help us DOUBLE that number! The Save the Bluebells event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2:00pm. This is a great Earth Day project, and all participants will recieve a certificate and a special tasty treat made from the garlic mustard. See our events listing for this and other upcoming events for 2015.
