Do you remember the HANDS AROUND THE WORLD campaign? Did you get involved? Remember the pride you felt standing there in that LONG, LONG line holding hands and being a part of something really, really big? Something GLOBAL? Or did you miss out on that opportunity? Do you remember the very first INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMY DAY or the very first INTERNATIONAL OBSERVE THE MOON NITE? Did you get involved? Remember the pride you felt standing there with your fellow amateur astronomers and being a part of something really big? Something GLOBAL? Or did you miss out on that opportunity, too? If you were involved in these events you know the pride and satisfaction that resulted from contributing to a global event. You know that communal WE ARE ONE feeling... If you didnt contribute to these events you have a chance now to contribute to the next big global event.... On June 22nd, 2014 The very first ever INTERNATIONAL SUNDAY will be held around the globe. Stephen W. Ramsden, Director of The Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Program, along with Rob Black, The Austrailian CBSAP director will begin the event at dawn in Autralia and we will follow the sun around the globe, like a giant solar wave. Getting on board is simple. Follow the link and click GOING! This gets your name recognized as a participant. Then decide what you want to do . ANYTHING solar is acceptable. Go to Wiki and learn a new fact about the Sun. YOU PARTICIPATED! Want to do more? Take your scope out in the driveway and share the sun with your neighbors. YOU PARTICIPATED!!! Want to do more?
