Do you work Monday - Friday and find you eat healthy during this time but it all falls apart at the weekend? I get told this a lot and the biggest reason is because you are out of routine. The weekend however is a perfect time to focus on making some new healthy meals, realistically you will have more free time because you dont have a full day of work taking up your time. Now is the time to experiment and find healthy options you can incorporate into your future weekends and week as well. You have set up good habits in the week, now you need to for the weekend. One thing I find works really well is to buy a load of vegetables, especially ones you wouldnt normally try, chop them up, put them together and throw in the oven. It will only take as long as if you were to cook a pizza. Buy a cooked chicken thats ready to eat then when the veg is done put it on a plate, really easy, really quick. You likely wont need much flavouring as the veg will do it for you. Add some extra virgin olive oil on cold for some healthy fats. See what veg you like together and what you think goes well. All the veg you havent cooked you can then use the next day and in your meals for the coming week. Pictures shown here can easily feed 4 people or more, but you can adapt it to your own portion sizes.
