DoE Disability Day at Sheffield EIS I Just wanted to drop you an email to say thank you to Scarborough Sixth Form College spending the day with the DofE team at the Disability Games on Tuesday at the EIS. I hope that everyone enjoyed the day. The feedback from the participants has been extremely positive with everyone enjoying the activities and the chance to meet with sports helpers and buddies. In total we had 19 teams attend the day with over 140 participants with additional needs experiencing 9 different activities around the venue. The day ran smoothly due to the input of the young volunteers who assisted with the activities and acted as buddies to the teams. All of the sports coaches were complimentary about the helpers and were impressed with the way that everyone behaved in a professional manner. Without the help and support from your students, we would not be able to stage such an event.
