Does anybody know much about cats or have experience... Mr. Kitty has had a swollen back right leg for a couple days now. At first I figured it was sprained because he spends his days climbing trees and going on adventures. I knew it wasnt broken because he was walking on it. Yesterday it seemed to get larger and more noticeable and worse. But he didnt rest too much yesterday and wandered. Today when I got home from work he jumped off his high makeshift bed in the garage (where I had him stay all day and night since he cant run from predators) so I thought he was doing better. Tonight I noticed discoloring under his fir, black and blue and he wouldnt stop licking around his thigh area. Before I know it theres pools of fluid. It had a strong odor and was mixed with blood. It continues to drip but hes acting a little relieved. He wont stop licking it. I cant get a very close look because he is now barely letting me per his head when yesterday he let me wrap his leg and lightly touch it. Does anybody have any idea what could be going on? I understand it could be bad since blood is found in the fluid. Thats what also happened to my Spikey a couple years ago. Just let me know any ideas you may have or if you think it is bad enough where I should take him in. He will eat out of my hand and ate some wet food earlier. He is also drinking good and has gone to the bathroom only once today.
