Does anyone else have a strange song from the past that over the years keeps randomly popping into your head for no reason at all? A song that you never consciously try to remember, a song that you have never intentionally thought about, that can suddenly pop up in your head like you just heard it for the first time and instantly memorized it completely? This song, Martian Boogie is one of those songs for me. I am posting this for my dear daughter, Laura, who over time has had to suffer through countless crappy renditions of this song by her father -- who felt compelled for some strange (and probably malicious) reason to sing it to her every time it made an unexpected and unsolicited trip to the front of his memory.
