Does anyone have the UVC version of the law which gives drivers of bicycles the same rights and responsibilities as drivers of other vehicles? CT State Law convolutes the rights and responsibilities by including the phrase subject to the requirements of the statutes relating to motor vehicles, except as to those provisions which by their nature can have no application and ... So who decides what does and does not by nature apply? The statutes related to general movement are worded apply to drivers of vehicles (Stop signs, signals, passing, turns, lane use). Other, more specific behavior / obligations include the term drivers of motor vehicles ( i.e. Drivers license requirement? Driving while intoxicated? Dissected driving)? The terms arent interchangeable.
