Does anyone who knows how broadcasting works tell us how flexible a Radio 3 programme actually is. i.e. are the programmes all cooked up in advance and if so to what extent can the presenter bring in topical ideas, comments etc.on the day? Can specific pieces of music be whipped out of the audio vaults at the drop of a hat or is it a lengthier process. Also are the presenters guided by pronunciation gurus in dealing with difficult names etc ?
