Dogs, Foxes, Skunks and now Hawks. So help me, if I lose another chicken I am going to scream. ElectroNet in place. No one is to leave the yard until the hawks have migrated. Skunk has been taken care of, the dogs owners warned, and the fox.. well the fox was never a big issue. He took one, and I screamed at him with my deepest, loudest, scariest voice. He has not showed his face again in MONTHS. The dog killed = 37, The Fox killed = 1, The Skunk killed = 106 (Im not kidding),The Hawk Killed = 2 of my Pennies. Heres to no more losses. We have strengthened our weaknesses and got rid of the worst two killers. We havent lost a single of our Basement Babies, so there is joy in that, and our Favourite Penny is still living it up, and that keeps a smile on my face. As long as they have green grass, bugs and dirt to bathe in - I am content with them being contained.
