Doing The Will of God Maybe you feel awkward about asking a close friend about whats most important to them, and what are the important things thats in every day living.It could be that you lack the basic impetus to be curious about other people and why they do what they do....It might be that you do ask but you dont listen. An added problem may be that you assume you already know what theyre thinking and feeling. Let me challenge you to throw out every preconceived assumption about your key relationships. Instead, assume something else: maybe its that you just dont really know and its truly is that it is but just an assumption? Assume you really have n idea what their fears, needs, or joys truly are. Assume you dont know the thing theyve always wanted to do but never have. Assume you dont know what game they most like to play or what country theyd love to travel to or what their favorite food is. Assume you dont know the last book they read, the tv show they rush home to see and just cant wait to see, each and every week or even their most memorable Thanksgiving. Assume you dont know how their family is really doing or how their children are doing in school and how they miss your attention. Assume you dont know how God has been speaking to them this week...Come to think of it, those are some pretty good questions?.. Risk the awkwardness and just ask?..It may just help your Assumptions
