On Tuesday evening (28th October 2014) I will watch a Liverpool team play live for the 999th time, a journey that has taken me nearly fifty years and seen me travel countless thousands of miles in England and throughout the European continent. As I close in on my personal four figures of attendance at Liverpool matches it seems appropriate to thank those who have travelled on even only a small part of that journey with me.
