Dolly Parton has said anti-gay Christians who use the Bible to spout idiotic views are the real sinners. The country legend and Christian star said she will always love her gay fans after she was asked why she thinks she became an icon. Speaking to Billboard, she said: They know that I completely love and accept them, as I do all people. Ive struggled enough in my life to be appreciated and understood. Ive had to go against all kinds of people through the years just to be myself. I think everybody should be allowed to be who they are, and to love who they love. I dont think we should be judgmental. Lord, Ive got enough problems of my own to pass judgment on somebody else. When Parton was asked about her Tennessee-based Dollywood amusement park, and how she copes appealing to both churches and the LGBT community, she said she loves everybody. Its a place for entertainment, a place for all families, period. Its for all that, she added. But as far as the Christians, if people want to pass judgment, theyre already sinning. The sin of judging is just as bad as any other sin they might say somebody else is committing. I try to love everybody. Parton has similar views to another singer, Kristin Chenoweth.
