Domodedovo Civil Aviation Production Association was estabilished on October 1, 1960 as a semi-autonomous Aeroflot-Soviet Airlines aimed to enforce air connections between Moscow-Domodedovo airport and Siberian destinations. On January 1, 1979 its name was fully recognized. In 1993 it was unofficially christened Domodedovo Airlines, always being an Aeroflot-RIA semi-autonomous division. Operations were stopped in November, 2008. The fleet was exclusively made up by Soviet-built airliners, including wide-bodies Ilyushin 96/300s and 86s. The latter is depicted herewith on the runway of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport. This relatively recent but hard-to-get postcard was issued by Novaja Kniga.
