Watson isnt connected to the Internet, can understand speech, colloquialisms, abstract human references in real-time and respond back in a human voice. There, in 2011, he is a monolith looking machine with a ridiculous price tag. Fast forward a couple years and Watson is back, but this time hes in the cloud and ready to connect to any Internet-ready device. Watson is why IBM is moving further into software. Why not have the worlds most advanced AI on your watch throughout the day? Why not aide doctors during operations? Soon we will see the benefits of quantum computing as a service thats delivered via cloud.
