Dont blame the victim? Seriously? All the evidence points to a rather un-sophiscated brute force password attack. What this means in layman terms is the users did not use strong passwords. Anyone in recent memory knows from news and Facebook, that if you dont want something on the internet, dont put it there. Anyone who has spent any amount of time lately in the internet or even watching news knows that using passwords like *123456* or password is just stupid. So now we have a group of people that A: Put something on cloud or internet that had no business being there and B: used a poor password and now they have been hacked and private things are waving in the breeze. Im sorry, I have very little sympathy for these folks. Ive spent years trying to get people to do the right thing regarding security and nobody gives a damn. Nobody wants to be inconvenienced .. nobody want to pay.. nobody wants to know how risky it is to play on the internet. I blame the victim for not using common sense and not paying attention to their own security. I might blame Apple in this if they in fact were using shit code for something as critical as their cloud services. But even then, by NOT uploading these images, they never would have seen the light of day.
