Dont give up your Crown . . Weve had a bad habit in the past, of denying people their faith. Weve openly stated that many who do did not see just exactly as we did, had no experience with the Lord at all. That was pure carnality talking; because if we had looked at people with the eyes of the Spirit, its quite likely that we would have seen something differently. God looks on the heart. I know a lot of folk think you can judge things by looking on the outside. And it doesnt matter, that even Christ told it differently. Ever wonder just why He spoke so strongly about cups, and whitewash? John was writing to the Angel of the church of Philadelphia. He said, for thou hast a little strength. Just a little. We like to quote the part of the verse that says, Behold, I come quickly: And I do believe He is coming quickly, just as He said. But what did He say just before that? Hold that fast which thou hast. In todays English, he is saying, Hold on to what you do have. And I love the next few words: that no man take thy crown. You see, the Spirit knows exactly where some of us are today. Jesus Christ knows what some of us have gone through, and how we have tried to hold on to what little faith and hope we could; desperate to believe. Face it. We have already been counted out by our peers of old. Theyve already dismissed us and wrote us off as finished. Ill say this cautiously; were already in hell, as far as some people are concerned. But I am here to tell somebody, only God knows what kind of faith you have and He is the only one who truly knows, just what kind of relationship you have with Him. Some of us humbly declare that we have a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, than we ever did before. HANG ON TO THAT. Dont let anyone tell you that you dont know Him today. It does not matter what they say. What matters, is that you know that you love Him. And in spite of everything that has come against you or how many times youve stumbled, you and God are closer than youve ever been. Because He, knows the real you. No matter what youve been through, no matter how hard it is at times even today, in the middle of great disturbance and untold tribulation, when the dust settles, you love Him more than ever before. Now, that simply stings many people, when you say that. Their integrated religious ideals, forbid them from accepting that you may not be what they see. And perhaps, they are convinced, that you couldnt possibly have a walk with God, because it does not line up with their interpretation of the Word. I am saying this as loudly and yet as humbly as I know how. Forget about them. Do not let them steal, what you have worked so hard for. You may feel that you are the lowest on the ladder, and that you are only holding on by a thread; it just doesnt matter. Hold on to what you do have, and dont dare give it up. I have a judge today, who does not just condemn me by what He sees on the outside. He knows every tear, every struggle, every problem, every mistake, every regret and the very desires of our heart. Its His business. It only takes a little. Shake off their condemnation. Turn your back on their finger pointing. If the Word, and Jesus Christ is the Word, said that He would finish the work He began in you, then LET HIM DO IT. Its about you and Him; its not about you and them. Let no man dismiss the love and hope you have in God today; do not be denied. Love Him anyway.
