Below is a recent email from Mike sharing the direction for tomorrow night: I am going to makes some general background comments and focus of the issues of opposition to the early church and how they dealt with them. More specifically, I want to have some discussion about how we deal with those same issues today. This class can be heavy on application depending on our participants. The three areas of opposition to the church, and therefore the gospel were political, theological, and cultural. I see some very important challenges in those areas for us today. So instead of a heavy dose of facts and dates, I want to look at the challenges of the early church, how we encounter similar challenges, and what we can learn from their responses to those challenges.
