Foremost earstwhile American president, John F Kennedy made mention of this popular quote in the 1960s that Dont think of what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country and it is very relevant and practicable here in Nigeria as our leaders drum this slogan into every ear that cares to listen This is why I present the tale of two doctors, One an American, the other a Nigerian. They were both out on a life saving mission to the war torn Liberian... I beg your pardon !!,our grand daughter of one of Nigerias founding father was right here in Nigeria when a soya suya or whatever the name of the mad man flew into Nigeria with the deadly virus and infected her with Ebola,unlike the American who was out there in the midst of trouble. Dr Kent Brantly was quickly evacuated from Liberia with immediate alacrity(i dont know wether that vocab is correct) I wish I can post the pictures of how Dr.Brantly was transported to Emory Hospital in the United States , only then you will or will not agree that we should not think of what the country must do for her citizens. Barely 5 weeks after, Dr kent can touch and be touched again, hug his wife children,friends and family again, On the other hand the pathetic visual of how Dr Stella Adadevoh was buried without any of his family moving closer to her corpse was shown on TV. Why should kind hearted Ameyo grand daughter of Herbert Macauley died? She died because she lived in a country that has nothing to offer her citizen just what the citizen must offer her at 54 years! ! Even at 100years our country is still saying we should not expect her to give you good medical care but you must always give even your life just the way Dr Stella did. Just yesterday, our soldiers cried out that they are ill equiped to face the menace of Boko Haram .. That is mutiny for Gods sake! Why would they expect Mother Nigeria to provide them with the latest armoured tanks and sophisticated guns. They must think of what to do for the country and not what the country must do for them. After all the Boko Haram raised money by themselves and built a formidable force capable of over running Army Barracks, police station as well as hoist their flag at Nigerian Police Academy. Army should just go out their Android fight with swords, cutlasses or better still bare hands. or why must they poke thier nose into trillion of dollars of security votes meant for their private bank account in Europe and America? Mutiny, I say! that Mutiny and they should be court marshalled and sentenced to death! !! My hearts breaks each day I have to provide my own electricity even there are time with your money you will still have to beg ,bribe and pay extra for petrol that its been given to us free by baba God Water nko? ..Never think of what your country can do for you ... Education nko? Never ever think of what your country can do for you .. Agriculture nko? Farmer should just farm with achaic equipment .... Aviation nko ? Its in the pipeline .. Transportation nko? Government is on top of the situation .. Ahhhhh ..baba God save our country Nigeria as we await what you can do for US .. ADIEU DR ADADEVOH ...CONGRATULATIONS DR BRANTLY
