Dorian appears to be having a little bit of a hard time fighting dry air directly west of it. Drier air has been in front of Dorian for a couple days now and appears to finally begin being ingested into the storm. Dorian is still putting up a good fight going against many obstacles that should have already prevented it from becoming as strong as it is now. The next few days will be crucial regarding Dorians intensity which according to the models make the difference between Dorians path moving towards the US east Coast( a stronger storm) in a little over a week or driving straight into Puerto Rico or Haiti( as a weaker storm) and the entire storm dying there.
