Down in Solana Beach with the family. Christy is sick in bed with the stomach flu. Im at the pool with the kids and we meet a couple from Switzerland on sabbatical. The husband is a microbiologist. So were talking it up about cancer cures and stem cells right? All of a sudden I mention my wife is back in the room with the stomach flu. Whoops!! We hear crickets. Then the wife says oops the pizzas burning we need to go NOW! They were outta there faster than clawless cat sliding across a frozen pond. I guess I forgot about the whole flu incubation period thing and they keyed in on that obviously. So, the moral of the story is if you want to end e conversation with a microbiologist, just start hacking uncontrollably or say your wife or husband is at home sick with the swine flu or better yet, Ebola virus. Thatll end that convo quick!!
