Dr. Alan Morinis, Dean of The Mussar Institute, to Speak at Shaare Emeth SUNDAY, NOV. 24, 4:30-6 P.M. Mussar combines the wisdom of Jewish spirituality with thoughtful practice and exercises to guide us on our journey of life and become the finest person we can be. Alan Morinis is an anthropologist, filmmaker, writer and student of spiritual traditions. He is an active interpreter of the teachings and practices of the Mussar tradition and regularly gives lectures and workshops. Born and raised in a culturally Jewish but non-observant home, he studied anthropology at Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship.
