Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan unarguably is the most influential President Nigeria has ever had. This may not be unconnected with the fact that his administration is coming at the development of Nigerias cyber attitude. Other administrations never had the privilege of witnessing such robust cyber activities, especially the Face book with the attendant scrutiny, criticism, cynicism and applauds. One thing clear is that a content analysis of our various media, ranging from the cyber related to other mass media will show that no item is more mentioned than the name GEJ. Unfortunately, a lot of Nigerians just for the privilege of the cyber medium have resorted to abuses that can not be accepted else where on the President. Most appalling is amongst the so called educated ones from whom decorum and dignity is expected . Unprintable insults, ranging from defamation to brazen treason have been committed in the name of freedom of expression. In all these, is it not funny that every single failure, both personal and collective is now attributed to Jonathan. If a mans wife returns late from the market, it is Jonathan. If a child breaks a plate, it is Goodluck. If your car fails to start in the morning, it is Jonathan. If the Super Eagles lose a match, it is Jonathan. The match Arsenal FC in England lost yesterday was caused by Jonathan. If a man fails to give house keeping allowance to the wife, it is Jonathan. If you lose your girl friend to another guy, it is Jonathan. If a man fails to sleep with his wife, it is Jonathan. When a suicide bomber strikes it is Jonathan. Boko Haram menace, Jonathan. Haba for this President. Can any one now argue Jonathans influence. Amidst all these abuses, the man has kept his cool. I wish such tolerance would continue with subsequent regimes after GEJ.
