Dr Hock called this morning and confirmed our worst fears....the pathology came back as nodular sclerossing hodgkins lymphoma which is exactly the same as the last 2 diagnosis. What next. Well thats not so cut and dry. Because Hodgkins is fairly treatable, the majority of patients achieve remission on the first or second treatment. So our plan will require a little thought. We already had an appointment with our transplant oncologist (because this week marks one year since Chris transplant) on Thursday, and they have already been in discussion about a plan. So we might learn more then. A pet scan and more pre-treatment testing is scheduled while we wait. Options are either chemo/radiation or bone marrow transplant. Please pray for peace for Chris and his siblings (Hannah and Willy dont know yet, but will as Chris is ready for his traditional mohawk before treatment. Kayla has known, and understandably having a hard time with it)for peace while we wait (and research) our options. Pray for the doctors to go forward with the best plan for Chris to lessen further damage to Chris body. ~Michelle
