Dr. Milton Kaufman, whose real name was Menachem Mendel Kaufman, former owner of Goodings Million Dollar Midways, passed away in Boston on April 12 at the age of 79. He had suffered from cancer and did not let any of his friends from the carnival industry know about it. Mike Williams of Farrow Shows, Jackson, Miss., who bought the show from Kaufman in 1992, said the death was a complete surprise to him. Williams and his fiance, Teresa Wieck, had planned to have lunch with Kaufman in Boston April 29. As far as I knew, everything was all set. He never said a word, said Williams.
