Drake Faculty, theres a special faculty senate meeting to discuss changes to Strategic Plan thats come from, I think, Presidents Cabinet. Whats below is the primary addition. If you want to come and listen to (or contribute to) conversation, please join us. If you cant make it, but want to get your opinion in, talk to one of your Senators. Objective C: Ensure that the student learning experience (at all levels—undergraduate, graduate, professional) is supported at the highest possible levels of quality and financial effectiveness Strategy 1: Review current faculty FTE and resource allocation in light of current and predicted enrollment demand; determine and implement process for appropriate realignment based on review Strategy 2: Investigate innovative strategies (e.g., integration of technology resources; different modes of student-faculty interaction) that enable a higher student/faculty ratio (i.e., lower instructional cost) while at the same time preserving the essential characteristics of the Drake experience and enabling a higher level of learning
