Dress up[2] - The Fuel of Faith! “For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.” -Galatians 5:6 [AMP] The Bible tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please God, everyone that comes to Him MUST believe. [Hebrews 6]. Faith is the currency with which we receive from God, just as we need money on this earth as a means of exchange, without money there will be misery, even the Bible says ‘Money answers to all things’. Ecclesiastes 10:19, likewise a faithless Christian will live a life of frustration. James 1:6-7. Nevertheless, imagine you just received a gift of a brand new car of your dreams, you know how far you will go with this new car, you know how comfortable it will make your life and the prestige it will add to you, but on getting into your car, you try to move the car, but the car refuses to move, you check the engine, check everything, I mean this is a brand new car, its perfect, it should work without any problems at all and you are probably there frustrated with your new car, but suddenly you remember, ah, ‘there is no fuel in the tank’, and that explains why the car refused to move. Just as your brand new top range car will not move and is totally useless to you without fuel in it, so also the Bile is telling us that Faith cannot work without love, no matter how great your faith is, no matter how spiritual you are, if there is no love, it’s all zero. 1 Cor 13:1-3. Jesus tells us more about faith in Mark 11:22-26, how we can move mountains if we have faith and that we should pray in faith, but He went further to tell us that if there is bitterness or hurt in our lives, (empty of love), God will not hear our prayers. “But we belong to the day; therefore, let us be sober and put on the breastplate (corslet) of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation”. 1 Thess 5:8. We are still being challenged to Love, just like we did yesterday, we need put on Love as a garment using the love of God towards us as a guideline so that we will not expose ourselves to the snares of the devil, because when we are empty of the God-kind of love, we are naked and the enemy can attack us, God brought restoration to Job after he prayed for his friends. Job 42:10. Wearing faith alone does not make you look smart, put on love as well and you will look gorgeous. Have a blessed day!
